Implementation of the RoHS guideline (Directive 2002/96/EC on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) as national law.

The purpose of the law is the implementation of guidelines 2002/96/EG and 2002/95/EG in order to restrict the use of certain hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment and appliances. As of July 1, 2006, the RoHS guideline prohibits the market introduction of electrical equipment and appliances which consist of specified hazardous materials or which contain prohibited quantities of the following materials:

  • lead
  • polybromated biphenyl PBP
  • mercury
  • polybromated diphenylether PBDE
  • hexavalent chromium
  • cadmium

The aim is to avoid waste materials, to reduce the amount of waste material by re-use, and the reduction of the amount of harmful substances in electrical and electronic equipment and materials.

Already today RoHS conformity exists with a multiplicity of our product groups. In the following you will find an appropriate overview Note:

The RoHS conformity exclusively refers to non fitted products. With completely fitted devices the RoHS conformity has to be checked to all used components.
